A tired old writer, desperate to finish his last novel meets a young grad student eager to understand and connect with her favourite writer. Not the most original of premises but when the writer is played by a brilliant Frank Langella it becomes fresh and insightful. Starting Out in the Evening is a chamber drama of age, writing and love. Those who are even remotely attracted by teh craft of writing will respond deeply to this heartfelt tale.
